Reclaim What We Have Lost

"We as Muslims have lost soooo much of our heritage. There is no big or small, … we have lost so many things, we must capture them all back........if we do enough of the small ones, ( giving salam correctly, aadab, speech, understanding, generosity, kindness), it may indeed help our big ones, (salaah, imaan, fasting, zakat etc)

Look at the past generations, even up to Victorian England… learning and understanding, manners and etiquette were at the forefront… but in modern times we have forgotten that and allowed ourselves to become blurred figures in the modernised world."

Wiping away of sins via Darood

Ahmad recorded that Abu Talha Al Ansari said,

"The Prophet, peace be upon him, woke up one day cheerful and beaming. His companions exclaimed, 'O Prophet of Allah, you woke up today cheerful and beaming.' He replied, 'Yes! A messenger of Allah, the Mighty and the Glorified, came to me and said, "If anyone from your ummah sends you a salutation, Allah will record for him ten good deeds, wipe off ten of his sins**, and raise him thereby ten degrees in rank, and He will return his salutation with a similar salutation".' [Ibn Kathir considers this a sound hadith.]

**The Muhaditheen have explained this refers to Minor sins, Major sins can only be forgiven Via Tawba (true repentance)

Why we send Darood On The Beloved Muhammad (saw)

Allah Subhanah Himself and His Angels sends blessings on the Noble Prophet (saws), and The Lord Most High has commanded those who believe to also send their salutations unto their Prophet (saws).....

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 56:

"Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him and salute him with all respect."

Why is our supplication not answered?

Ibraheem Ibn Adham, a third century scholar was asked about the saying of Allah - the Most High, “AND YOUR LORD SAYS; ‘CALL ON ME I WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYER…” [40;60]

The questioner said: “We supplicate and we are not answered.“

Ibraheem Ibn Adham said to them:

-You know Allaah, Yet you do not obey Him,

-You recite the Qur’aan, Yet do not act according to it,

-You know Shaitaan (Devil), Yet you have agreed with him,

-You proclaim that you love Muhammed (sallalahu alayhi wassalam), Yet you abandon his Sunnah,

-You proclaim your love for Paradise, Yet you do not act to gain it,

-You proclaim you fear the Fire, Yet you do not prevent yourselves from sins,

-You say “Indeed death is true”, Yet you have not prepared for it,

-You point out the faults with others, Yet you do not look at your own faults,

-You eat of that which Allah has provided for you, Yet you do not thank Him,

-You bury your dead, Yet you do not take a lesson from it.
