Ramadhan 1441 Announcement

Due to no reliable news of sighting of the Ramadhan Hilal throughout the UK and other places, Sha'ban 1441 will be completed 30 days and inshaallah, the FIRST day of Ramadhan will be on SATURDAY 25th April 2020.

There will be no Taraweeh prayer at the masjid due to lockdown, so please pray at home.

The Imam will be performing Taraweeh, and you will be able to listen over the radio and Internet stream from 9.30pm onwards starting Friday 24th April inshaallah.

Announcement regarding congregational Salah at Masjid e Umer, Walthamstow

Due to a united decision taken by the leading Muftiyaan (Theologians) of the UK and the present government directive, we regret to inform you that we are having to temporarily suspend the congregational Salah in the Masjid until further notice (this includes  the 5 daily prayers as well as Jummah salaah)

As you are aware, we tried as much as possible that the Masjid remains open, but now due to the advice of the Scholars we have had to take this very difficult decision.

We remind you; please do not miss out on your 5 times Salah, perform them in congregation in your homes with your families. Sit with your children to recite the Holy Qur'aan, the Madrassah maybe closed in the Masjid, but Alhamdulillah the opportunity is there to make each house a place of learning.

Insha'Allah it is the Salah, the recitation, the Duas and Istighfar that will take us out of this calamity with Aafiyah.

There will be regular Azaan being called from the Masjid, and the Imams will be there, so that the Masjid does not remain completely deserted without any Ibaadah.

We make dua to Allah Almighty that Allah Almighty grants Aafiyah to all humanity, and make this calamity come to an end very quickly.

Insha'Allah we will continue to keep you updated with any new developments.

May Allah Almighty forgive our shortcomings and remove this calamity so that Masajid can be opened again and lives can come back to normal, Insha'Allah on the path of true guidance.

Aameen Yaa Rabb Al Aalameen.
